Jina Bakes began during the pandemic with a simple idea: to bring a little joy to friends through boxes of freshly baked pastries.

Soon, friends began asking us to make boxes they could send to their own friends and family, and what started as a small gesture grew into something much bigger than we expected. We spent our early days baking and driving across the Bay Area, personally delivering each box.

In the middle of the pandemic, an opportunity came along to open a small bakery in San Francisco’s Japantown. We took the leap, and in 2021, Jina Bakes found its home.

Today, we’re a Korean-inspired bakery bringing together Korean flavors and French pastry techniques. From croissants and salt bread to desserts and coffee, everything we make is rooted in the same idea that started Jina Bakes: sharing something delicious that brings a little joy to someone’s day.
